Monday, March 9th: Only a week after Jazz Jivin’, Komma Films heads to San Diego to begin Pre-Production “on the ground” in So-Cali by the Bay. A lot of pieces to the puzzle have to be put together before we begin filming May 20th…but with Cero in NYC and Bresky in SD we’ll take the country by force. Thanks for all of your support, feel free to share your enthusiasm on our blog. Check out the teaser and our “kommafilms store,” for on-line donations. Till’ next time, I’ve got a subway/shuttle bus/Air Tram/ plane to catch!

Komma Films’ Jazz Jive Swings Brooklyn

Monday, March 2nd, 2009: A mob of art thirsty film supporters braved the fluke “Winter Snap,” to support Komma Films and raise funds for their current project: Freshman Year. Any weaker film fans would have stayed at home, but driven by communal artistic vision they trudged through the Winter Spring Wonderland to Pane & Vino on Smith Street in the heart of Brooklyn. The smooth notes of the jazz ensemble Equilibrium set the tone of the night led by Nicholas Mauro. Accompanied by great food, wine and fabulous friends the Jazz Jive was a huge success. The event was a celebration of artistic collaboration, and the fundraiser would not have been such a success had it not been for many generous contributors:

For all who came together on that snowy night, we thank you for your support
